DISH HISTORY: A traditional lobster sandwich is a sandwich filled with lobster meat.There are variations of this sandwich made in other parts of New England, which may contain diced celery or scallion, and mayonnaise. The sandwich may also contain lettuce, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Traditional New England restaurants serve lobster sandwich (made with butter, not mayonnaise) with potato chips or french fries.
Ingredients for six sandwiches:
18 oz lobster meat
6 tbsp tartara sauce
12 slices tomato
12 leaves lettuce
6 sandwich buns
PREPARATION: Prepare the lobster meat following the ICS recipe then cool down and remove from the shell.
INSTRUCTIONS: Place lobster meat on a lightly oiled non stick pan then cook the lobter at 464 F for 3 min. Start assembling the sandwich by spreading the tartar sauce on the bottom bun followed by the lettuce, tomato, lobster meat and finished with top bun.
